As much as I would like to talk to you right now, I frequently am away from the office on professional matters or personal commitments with no one to answer your call.
Don't despair! The best part of my day is talking with clients and other callers. You can be certain that I will get back to you as promptly as I can. I have provided this page to help us agree on expectations concerning when you can expect a return call.

I have a challenging week with out of the office commitments most of the week and out of the area travel on Thursday and Friday. If I am not available to take your call, please leave a message and will call you back as soon as I can.
It may take me longer than usual to return telephone calls, but I should be able to get back to you by the end of the day. If you are calling about a legitimately urgent matter, please call my personal cell and leave a message. I will return the call if I am able. Thanks for your understanding. ​Just a reminder that record retention policies recommended by the bar prevent me from receiving case communicaitons by text. Accordingly, I have disabled SMS features for my professional phones. Please call or email.

My regular office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. The office usually is closed on all holidays observed by local courts. I do not answer my professional cell phone on weekends or holidays but I encourage you to call (804) 725-6818 and to leave a detailed message indicating the subject of your call and when it is convenient for you to receive a return call. If you are calling on a weekend or holiday, I will return your call on the next business day.
